Wushu superstar Agatha Wong defends her medal wins from bashers: "Pilipino ako, mahal ko ang bayan ko!'

Hindi porke Chinese ang kanyang apelyido ay kaya siya nanalo, ito ang sinabi ni Wushu medalist na si Agatha Wong sa kanyang Twitter post nitong Sabado lang.

Ayon sa tinaguring Wushu superstar, Intsik man ang dala niya sa kanyang pangalan ay isa pa rin siyang Pilipina, higit sa kung anupaman.


Aniya, siya ay pinanganak sa bansang Pilipinas at mahal niya ang kanyang bayang sinilangan.

Ayon sa naging panayam ng SPIN Life kay Agatha, ibinahagi ng atleta na ang kanyang post na ito patungkol sa Filipino pride ay nag trending na at umabot sa halos 3 libong retweets.


Sinabi umano ito ni Agatha matapos sabihin ng ilang tao na “natural” lang na siya ay Manalo sa kumpetisyon ng wushu dahil isa siyang Chinese.*

Nilinaw rin ni Agatha na hindi na bago sa kanya ang ganitong uri ng paninira, dahil bahagi daw ito ng kanyang tagumpay.

Ayon din sa kanya, kailangan lang niyang ipaliwanag na siya ay may dugo at pusong Pilipino.

Formerly known as Republic Broadcasting System, Inc., GMA Network obtained its original 25-year franchise through Republic Act No. 7252 or “An Act Granting the Republic Broadcasting System, Inc. a Franchise to Construct, Install, Operate and Maintain Radio and Television Broadcasting Stations in the Philippines.” The said act was signed into law on March 20, 1992; became effective on May 12, 1992 – fifteen (15) days after its publication in the Official Gazette on April 27, 1992; and as such, was valid until May 12, 2017. 23 modern jeepneys start plying Novaliches-Malinta route

Photo from Motoph MANILA  -- More commuters in Metro Manila can now enjoy the modern jeepney under the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP) of the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte. This after the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-National Capital Region (LTFRB-NCR) under the supervision of lawyer Zona Russet Tamayo launched last Friday an initial 23 units of modernized jeepneys along the Novaliches-Malinta route connecting Novaliches in Quezon City and Valenzuela City. The modernized jeepneys are operated by the Novaliches-Malinta Jeepney Transport Service Cooperative (NMJTSC) headed by Helen Viloria. Viloria said each unit has a seating capacity of 26 plus 10 to 15 standing passengers. The modern jeepneys, which ply the Novaliches-Malinta route 24 hours daily, have terminals at the Shop and Ride Site in Barangay Novaliches Proper and near the old Valenzuela City Hall along MacArthur Highway in Barangay Malinta.
